Job Description
We are looking for an individual who is motivated to learn and capable of performing a multitude of functions in a flexible, fast-paced electronics environment and is able to multi-task and prioritize time and work.
Job Responsibilities
- Insert by hand components into the correct circuit designation on printed circuit boards
- Solder wires into printed circuit boards
- Assemble and test wiring harness systems
- Utilize hand soldering irons and tools to repair, rework and build parts
- Meet all standard production rates
- Other related duties as required in manufacturing department
Qualifications
- Good eyesight, good work habits, mechanical aptitude, basic computer knowledge
- Education: High School Graduate or GED
- US citizenship
Full-time Electronics Design Engineer
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development electronic control products and power supplies. You will be responsible for analog, power, digital and/or microprocessor-based designs. You will also present ideas to the team and support design reviews, testing and overseeing the design through to production.
Our customers serve the Medical, Aerospace, industrial and consumer markets. Projects include electronic medical devices, sensing and measurement devices, machine control systems, LED and laser drivers. We also design and manufacture commercial, industrial, and medical custom power supplies under our Bear Power Supplies brand.
As a design engineer you will be embraced by a skilled team and work through challenges together.
• Work on a variety of interesting and challenging power supplies and other electronic products.
• Spend your time designing and debugging – rather than sitting in meetings.
• Teamwork – nobody is alone on difficult problems. There are four other design engineers who are happy to share ideas. Even the president and design engineering manager are involved and have engineering degrees
• Work in a collaborative environment with other electrical design engineers with analog, power, digital and microprocessor based designs
• Mentor less experienced engineering personnel including co-ops and techs.
• Make a difference in all that you do and never just be another number.
Required Skills/Experience:
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required and at least 5 years of experience, 3+ years’ experience being in electrical hardware and/or software design. Your individual experience will be taken into consideration.
• US citizenship (we do some government work)
Ideal Skills:
• Good analog and digital circuit design skills
• Ability to troubleshoot subassemblies to the component level. Knowledge of bench level test equipment. Effective problem solving & root cause evaluation skills
• Software experience in embedded coding in C / C++ with 8-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers, familiarity with GIT and Python.
• Ability to independently develop test procedures and conduct design verification testing.
• Experience/expertise with design and test for EMI (Electromagnetic Interface). We have our own test chamber on-site.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
